The 1st of August and my summer was in full flow. I think the best summer yet... the sun has been outstanding this year, the venues are getting better and better and I am just totally honoured to be a part of these gorgeous couples big days.

I headed down to The Dartmoor Lodge for the wedding of Ken & Wendy... I first met them a few months ago and I instantly warmed to them and their story. After meeting as teenagers then joining back together decades later. A proper love story!

The morning prep went smoothly, Wendy was getting ready with her 3 sisters whilst Ken waited patiently in the bar and finally at the end of the aisle. The day was an emotional one, Ken wears his heart on a sleeve which in turn sent everyone off! It was so lovely to see guests shed a tear and be truly happy for them both.

After the ceremony we all went into the garden for drinks & the all important photos :) We were spoilt yet again with the weather so we made the most of our time before the reception.

The Dartmoor Lodge always pull out all the stops at weddings... the decor was stunning and the personal touches and attention to detail makes all the difference.

The wedding was an intimate one, they were surrounded by their closest family & friends and what a fantastic bunch they were... I was welcomed in which in turn made my job a very easy one.
